Stewardship Moment: “The stone which the builders rejected has become the cornerstone.”
1 PETER 2:7 Every person has been given gifts from the Holy Spirit. These are called “charisms” and they are used to build God’s kingdom of earth. While many people are able to recognize their natural talents and abilities, they may be unsure of their charisms. If you know someone who is struggling for a direction in life, give them a little encouragement. Help them discern their charisms and how God is calling them to use them. Remember - no gift is too small or insignificant in God’s salvation plan.

Today, Sunday May 3rd, the Altar Society will be providing a May Crowning luncheon after Mass. We will also be honoring Russell Beckley as he will have made his First Eucharist/Confirmation. Everyone is invited to the parish center for fellowship and food. Altar Society will be covering all of the meal expenses, and Kristin Beckley will provide a cake for dessert. Group 1 is in charge of the celebration. Come and Enjoy!

Looking Ahead: Mass on Sunday, May 17th will be at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart with a breakfast following honoring our graduates and in appreciation of our teachers and substitutes. Mass in Sykeston on May 17th will be at 8:30 am.

The last FFF Class on Wed., May 6th will be a Mass at 6:00 pm for all the students and parents. Grades P-11 go to their classes by 5:45 pm and then go to Mass. Attendance will be taken in all classes. There will be a picnic in the hall after Mass for everyone. Burgers, hotdogs, chips, gelato and drinks provided.
You may bring a salad to pass, if you wish.

Holy Father’s Prayer Intention for May: That Everyone Might Have Food: Let us pray that everyone, from large producers to small consumers, be committed to avoid wasting food and to ensure that everyone has access to quality food.
