Stewardship Moment: “As they were marching out, they came upon a man of Cyrene, Simon by name; this man they pressed into service to carry his cross.” Matthew 27:32 The Lord calls us to love God and to love our neighbor. Every day we are presented with opportunities to love our neighbor and help him “carry his cross.” These opportunities aren’t usually big events, they are usually ordinary occurrences like helping someone carry their groceries or holding the door open for them. The key is putting the other person’s needs before our own and not expecting anything in return.

Sacred Sisters: Father Dale Kinzler will be our motivational speaker this year. He is retired now, but was the priest in Cooperstown when he was in an accident that nearly took his life. His book, "Three Feet From Death" will be for sale. Come and be inspired by his story. RSVP to Bernadine Anderson at 653-5586 or Shelly Kurtz at 653-5204, or scan the QR code on your invitation. Hope to see you on Saturday, April 11th, at the parish hall.

Pope Leo has asked our parish to support the Pontifical Good Friday Collection, which helps Christians in the Holy Land, where they are now less than 2% of the population. Your support is essential to help the Church minister in parishes, provide Catholic schools, and offer religious education. The Pontifical Good Friday Collection also helps to preserve the sacred shrines of Christianity, including, in Jerusalem, Nazareth, and Bethlehem, to name only a few. The pandemic had hit Christians in the Holy Land particularly hard. Most of them depend on pilgrimages for work. The war and now the Iranian conflict have made their situation even more dire. In these times of crisis, the Pontifical Good Friday Collection is necessary to meet the basic needs of the People of God still living in this Land and to maintain a Christian presence where the Church was born. When you contribute to the Pontifical Good Friday Collection, you join with Catholics around the world in solidarity with the Church in the Holy Land. Please Be Generous!

We now begin the holiest week of the year when we are reminded of God’s great love for all of us.
It is a time when we re-live the events of his passion, death and resurrection and it is a great occasion of grace and blessings as we come and share in these Holy Week liturgies. We hope you will
come and take part in the services each day.
• Please see the handouts in the back of the church for the Holy Week Schedule.

Stewardship Moment: “Jesus said to her, ‘Did I not tell you that if you believe you will see the glory of God?’” John 11:40 Many of us say that we believe in God. We attend Sunday Mass and participate in parish events. But when life gets hard and the pressure is on, when things aren’t going our way, do we really believe? Do we really put our trust in the Lord? When we live a life of gratitude, recognizing all that we have been given, we really do see that God is providing for our needs. Living a grateful and generous life allows us to see God’s active presence in our daily lives and we become “partakers of the divine nature.”

Thank you to all of our parents and parishioners who donated baked items for the bake sale last weekend and all who purchased items. We made $284.00 for our FFF Activity Fund. Thank you for your support!

God’s Gift Appeal: Thanks to all our parishioners who have made their gift to the 2026 God’s Gift
Appeal. If you have not yet made a gift or pledge, please fill out a commitment card located in the back of the church. Please participate in support of our diocesan church.

Carrington Reconciliation Service will be celebrated TODAY, Sunday, March 22nd at 4:00 pm. We will have multiple priests available. Every member of the Catholic Church is highly encouraged to make a good “Sacramental Confession” during Lent. Let us pray for each other that God will help us make a good examination of conscience so that we may all be relieved of the burden of our sins!
* Please see the insert in today’s bulletin for additional confession times and the Holy Week Schedule.

Holy Father’s Prayer Intention for March: Let us pray that nations move toward effective disarmament, particularly nuclear disarmament, and that world leaders choose the path of dialogue and diplomacy instead of violence.

Stewardship Moment: “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again.” John 4:13 Jesus reminds us that material things, even something as basic as water, can never satisfy us over the long run. When we build our lives around material possessions we will always want more, and no amount will ever satisfy our desire. True joy and peace only come when we follow Jesus - when we become more “God-centered” and less “self-centered.”

FFF Bake Sale: Next Sunday, March 15th after Mass in the Sacred Heart parish hall. Each FFF family is asked to donate one baked item per family for the bake sale. Funds are being used for FFF activities.

Religious Education Reconciliation Service for grades 2-6 will be held onWednesday, Mar. 11th at 6:30 pm. There will be 2 priests available.

God’s Gift Appeal: Thanks to all our parishioners who have made their gift to the 2026 God’s Gift Appeal. If you have not yet made a gift or pledge, please fill out a commitment card located in the back of the church. Please participate in support of our diocesan church.

Heavenly Wisdom by Venerable Fulton Sheen: “Theological insights are gained not only from between two covers of a book, but from two bent knees before an altar. The Holy Hour becomes like an oxygen tank to revive the breath of the Holy Spirit in the midst of the foul and fetid atmosphere of the world.”
