Stewardship Moment: “To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.” 1 Corinthians 12:7 To receive the gifts of the Holy Spirit you must open your heart and invite Him in! Ask the Holy Spirit to guide your thoughts, words and actions every day! Be grateful for all the gifts God has given you! Regardless of our individual circumstances, God has given all of us many blessings. What we do with those gifts is our gift back to God! By generously sharing everything we have and everything we are, we become more “God-centered” and less “self-centered” and our lives truly reflect God’s light, love and mercy.

Memorial Day marks the end of school and the beginning of summer vacations. May you all have a very pleasant and relaxing summer. On Memorial Day, we remember our beloved dead especially those who gave their lives for our country. There will be a community wide service for our veterans at 11 am at the Carrington Cemetery. In case of inclement weather, it will take place at Cross Roads Golf Course.

Camp ReCreation is a summer camp dedicated to serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Campers and Volunteers Needed! Counselors, teachers, task force members, cooks, nurses, entertainers, and more are needed to serve at Camp ReCreation in Richardton, ND this June (May 31-June 4 & June 7-12). Holy Father’s Prayer Intention for May: That Everyone Might Have Food: Let us pray that everyone, from large producers to small consumers, be committed to avoid wasting food and to ensure that everyone has access to quality food.

Looking Ahead: Mass on Sunday, June 14th will be changed to 8:30 am in Sykeston as Carrington will be celebrating their Sacred Heart Feast Day with a potluck picnic after a 11:00 am Mass in Carrington on Sunday, June 14.

Heavenly Wisdom by Venerable Fulton Sheen:
If you do not worship God, you worship something, and nine times out of ten it will be yourself. You have a duty to worship God, not because He will be imperfect and unhappy if you do not, but because you will be imperfect and unhappy.
