Stewardship Moment: “I am the good shepherd...and I lay down my life for the sheep…and they will heed my voice.” - John 10:14-16 When you pray, do you only ask Jesus for the things that you want? Do you ever ask Jesus what He wants from you?

How do you listen for His response? Many times Jesus responds in “quiet whispers” that are not so obvious. So, take time every day, in silence, to actively listen for His voice.

Crowning of Mary/First Communicant Potluck: Due to scheduling conflicts for the Beckley family, we will be celebrating Wyatt’s First Eucharist on Sunday April 28th. After Mass, Wyatt and family will do a processional for the Crowning of Mary. Then we will go to the parish center for a potluck meal wishing him well as he will receive his First Eucharist and Confirmation on May 17th. Group 2 will be serving ham, buns, and beverages. A cake will be provided by the Beckley family for dessert. We ask attendees to bring their favorite dish to share. Come celebrate Wyatt and our Mother Mary!

Sacred Heart Spring Dinner will be held Sunday, April 21st from 4:30-6:30 pm at the Sacred Heart Parish Hall. Serving turkey and all the trimmings. Adults-$12; Kids 6-12-$5; Preschool-free. Carry out and local delivery is available by calling 652-2072 after 2:00 pm on Sunday.

On Wednesday, May 1st at 3pm, there will be church grounds clean-up. Group 4 is in charge of flowerbeds and hedge on north side of church this year so hopefully as many as possible from that group can make it. We would appreciate any St Elizabeth members to help in this spring project. Lots of raking, sidewalk sweeping, and shoveling of dirt/rocks from street is needed. Thank you to all in advance, Shelly Kurtz, Altar Society president.

Next weekend we will have a 2nd collection for the Catholic Home Missions Appeal.

Heavenly Wisdom by Venerable Fulton Sheen: “Here is a psychological suggestion for acquiring peace of soul. Never brag; never talk about yourself; never rush to first seats at table or in a theater; never lord it over others as if you were better than they.”

Holy Father’s Prayer Intention for April: For the Role of Women: We pray that the dignity and immense value of women be recognized in every culture, and for the end of discrimination that they experience in different parts of the world.

Stewardship Moment: “Jesus himself stood among them and said to them, ‘Peace be with you.’ But they were startled and frightened…”-Luke 24:36-37 Throughout the day we have many opportunities to “see the face of Jesus” in others and to “be the face of Jesus” to others. Do we take that opportunity to provide “peace” to those we encounter or are we afraid of what others will think of us and do nothing? Pray for the strength and courage to live a “God-centered” life and not a “self-centered” life.

Stewardship Moment: “The community of believers was of one heart and mind, and no one claimed that any of his possessions was his own...” - Acts 4:32 All that we are and all that we have is a gift from God! Think of your family, your friends, your life, your talents and your money – these are all gifts from God! We are not really owners of anything; we are merely “stewards” of the gifts God has blessed us with. We are called to be grateful and generous with all of our gifts for the benefit of others.
