St Elizabeth’s Church Annual Fall Dinner/Bazaar
Sunday Oct. 11th, serving from 11:30-1pm. Meal includes: Roast Beef, Mashed Potatoes, Scalloped Corn, Glazed Carrots, Relish, Buns, Dessert, and refreshments. Adults/Sr & Jr High-$15, K-6-$7, and Preschool-$3. Take Outs available. There will be a Gift Bucket & Calk Walk starting at 1pm. At 2pm we will have 20 games of bingo that will include two blackouts. Group 1 will be in charge this year.

Stewardship Moment: “For if we live, we live for the Lord, and if we die, we die for the Lord; so then, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s.” – Romans 14:8 This is the essence of stewardship – everything we have and everything we are is a gift from God. We aren’t “owners” of anything; we are merely “stewards” of the gifts that God has given us, especially our very own lives. Pray to God daily, and ask Him how He is calling you to live the life that He intended for you.

National Grandparents Day is a time to celebrate the guidance, love, and wisdom grandparents share with their families, recognizing the unique connection they foster between generations. It emphasizes the stories, values, and life lessons they pass down, and honors their roles as caregivers, mentors, and community anchors. The holiday began through the efforts of Marian McQuade, a West Virginia advocate for the elderly, whose statewide and national campaign led to President Jimmy Carter’s 1978 proclamation establishing the observance. Happy Grandparent’s Day!
