Stewardship Moment: “Jesus said to them again, ‘Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you.’” (John 20:21) Peace – the first gift of the risen Lord. Just as Jesus sent the apostles out into the world, so too, He sends us. As disciples of Jesus, we are called to be compassionate and merciful; and not with just those who are our friends, but also with our “enemies.” Think of someone in your life who you need to reconcile with. Call them right now or better yet, go visit them.

Divine Mercy Hour: Divine Mercy Sunday marks the end of the Divine Mercy Novena, which began on Good Friday. April 27th from 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm at Sacred Heart, we will have a Divine Mercy holy hour which will consist of adoration, confessions and praying the Divine Mercy Chaplet.

On Monday and Tuesday of this week, Bishop Folda and all the priests of the Diocese of Fargo will be gathering at Maryvale for Spring Education Days.

Support the Catholic Home Missions Appeal today! Nearly 40% of dioceses in the United States and its current and former territories are considered mission territories because they are unable to fund essential pastoral activities for their communities. Your support funds religious education, seminary formation, lay ministry training, & other programs that build vibrant faith communities here in the U.S. Please be generous.

Find more information at www.usccb.org/home-missions. As with all national/special collections, please make your check payable to St. Elizabeth (memo line “Catholic Home Missions”). The parish deposits the checks and includes the donation in your individual giving record.

Whenever we take a step towards Jesus, we come to realize that he is already there, waiting for us
with open arms. Pope Francis 1936 - 2025

O God, faithful rewarder of souls, grant that your departed servant Pope Francis, whom you made successor of Peter and shepherd of your Church, may happily enjoy forever in your presence in heaven the mysteries of your grace and compassion, which he faithfully ministered on earth. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever.

Stewardship Moment: “…He went about doing good and healing all those oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.” (Acts 10:38) We can’t give what we don’t have. Open your heart to receive God’s love, mercy and forgiveness. Then, show the same to others. As God’s adopted sons and daughters, we are made in His image and likeness. As Pope Benedict XVI says, “we are made for greatness.” Let our lives reflect His light to others. Pray to live a grateful and generous life. Strive for greatness! We are made for more! We are made for God!

Thank You to the Sacred Sisters ladies for the wonderful morning of fellowship and fun last Saturday for the 110 ladies that attended. The food was delicious and the entertainment and program were inspiring and uplifting. You did an awesome job! Thank you to all for everything you did for this Sacred Sisters brunch.

Divine Mercy Hour: Divine Mercy Sunday marks the end of the Divine Mercy Novena, which began on Good Friday. Next Sunday, April 27th from 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm at Sacred Heart, we will have a Divine Mercy holy hour which will consist of adoration, confessions and praying the Divine Mercy Chaplet.

A BLESSED EASTER
Dear friends – Alleluia! Christ has risen! He has risen indeed! Words cannot fully express my joy and gratitude in celebrating my first Holy Week and Easter with you all as your new pastor! I have felt so close to God during these sacred days. I sincerely hope you have felt Our Lord’s closeness and graces as well. The Christian story, brothers and sisters, is the greatest, most powerful, and beautiful story in history. Easter is the mysterious night when Jesus Christ conquered death. The Christian story is a story of a good world that had gone bad—but then had been redeemed! May the Risen Christ bless you and your loved ones abundantly during this most sacred time! -Fr. Darrick Leier

Heavenly Wisdom by Venerable Fulton Sheen: “Unless there is a Good Friday in your life, there can be no Easter Sunday.”

Holy Father’s Prayer Intention for April: Let us pray that the use of the new technologies will not replace human relationships, will respect the dignity of the person, and will help us face the crises of our times.

Stewardship Moment: “…I tell you, Peter, before the cock crows this day, you will deny three times that you know me.“ (Luke 22:34) How many times have you heard someone make a disparaging comment about God or our Catholic faith? How did you react? Do you remain quiet so not to cause a disturbance? Or, because you don’t want people to think negatively about you? Or, because you don’t think you know enough about the Catholic faith? Pray for the courage to speak up and enter into a respectful conversation when the opportunity to talk about our faith arises. Joyfully share your faith with others.

Spring Cleaning list for St. Elizabeth is posted in the supply room. Please cross out and initial any duties members completed. Thank you in advance to all those who help in this process.

A huge THANK YOU goes out to Jesse Schroeder for cutting down and trimming a few big trees on our Church property! Many thanks also to Troy and Taylor Hafner, Dave Richter, and Derek Beckley for using their heavy-duty equipment to haul it all away!

Holy Week: We now begin the holiest week of the year when we are reminded of God’s great love for all of us. It is a time when we re-live the events of his passion, death and resurrection and it is a great occasion of grace and blessings as we come and share in these Holy Week liturgies. We hope you will come and take part in the services each day.

Heavenly Wisdom by Venerable Fulton Sheen: “So when God pulls down the curtain on the drama of the world’s redemption, He will not ask what part we played, but only how well we played the role assigned to us.”

Holy Father’s Prayer Intention for April: Let us pray that the use of the new technologies will not replace human relationships, will respect the dignity of the person, and will help us face the crises of our times.
