Stewardship Moment: “I am the Lord who brought you from Ur of the Chaldeans to give you this land as a possession.” - Genesis 15:7 Just as the Lord gave Abraham, Moses, and the Israelites a land to possess, He has also given each of us a home. Whether your home is grand or humble, it is a gift from God. Abraham prepared a great sacrifice to the Lord in gratitude for the home God gave him. How do you show your gratitude to God for the home He has given you? Do you make a sacrifice of any kind?
Do you return any of your finances to God, investing in your eternal home just as you invest in your earthly home?
Altar Society will be doing spring cleaning in St Elizabeth’s church starting April 1 through April 12. Each member can go in at their own convenience and clean an area. A list of areas and jobs to do, will be hanging in the cleaning supplies room. As you finish the task you have chosen, please mark off and sign. If you are a new member, please contact me or someone else and we can advise or clean with you. Thank you for your help with this. Shelly Kurtz, president altar society.
Invitations were sent out this week for our Sacred Sisters event on April 12th at 10:00 at the Sacred Heart Parish Center. Please come for a fun morning of friendship and inspiration, and bring a friend! Our theme this year is “If the Shoe Fits”, sometimes a challenge for us on our faith journey! The event is free, and we will have a motivational speaker, music, brunch and lots of laughter. Please RSVP by April 3rd to a number below, or let them know if you did not receive an invitation, and would like to come. Bernadine Anderson 653-5586 or Shelly Kurtz 653-5204.
FFF Classes: No classes this week, March 19, because of Spring Break. Classes resume next week, March 26.
Holy Father’s Prayer Intention for March: Let us pray that broken families might discover the cure for their wounds through forgiveness, rediscovering each other’s gifts, even in their differences.
Heavenly Wisdom by Venerable Fulton Sheen: “Heaven is a city on a hill, hence we cannot coast into it; we have to climb. Those who are too lazy to mount can miss its capture as well as the evil who refuse to seek it.”
