Stewardship Moment: “This is my commandment: love one another as I love you. No one has greater love than this, to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” - John 15:12-13 Do you love Jesus? Do you consider Him your friend? Jesus says that if we love Him we would be willing to offer whatever we have to Him, not because we want praise and glory, but simply because we love Him. Does your giving seem mechanical out of obligation or do you share freely out of love?

Date Change: On Wednesday, May 8th at 3pm, there will be church grounds clean-up. Group 4 is in charge of flowerbeds and hedge on north side of church this year so hopefully as many as possible from that group can make it. We would appreciate any St Elizabeth members to help in this spring project. Lots of raking, sidewalk sweeping, and shoveling of dirt/rocks from street is needed. Thank you to all in advance, Shelly Kurtz, Altar Society president.

Last weekend we had a second collection for the Catholic Home Missions Appeal and raised $263 to support funds religious education, seminary formation, lay ministry training, & other programs that build vibrant faith communities right here in the U.S.

CCD & CYO Classes have concluded for this year. I would like to express my thanks to Diane Odstrcil, all of the teachers and subs in our CCD & CYO programs, and Jennifer Hoornaert & the Children’s Choir. You all put forth a tremendous effort throughout the whole year. May God bless you for your generosity of stewardship! Thank you to Mary Wendel, Jessica Skadberg, Katie Riedesel and Sarah Becker, who helped with the picnic supper following the closing Mass, and to the Dave Richter, Luke Kutz, Bob House, and Shane Wendel for grilling the burgers. We also thank Casey and Maartje Murphy for donating the gelato for the supper. Fr. Dodge

9-Day Novena to the Holy Spirit: Friday, May 10th - Saturday, May 18th. Please check the back of the church for the 9-day Novena to the Holy Spirit prayer sheets where we can pray for our own increase in the gifts of the Holy Spirit, but also for our upcoming Confirmation students as well.

Holy Father’s Prayer Intention for May: We pray that religious women and men, and seminarians, grow in their own vocations through their human, pastoral, spiritual and community formation, leading them to be credible witnesses to the Gospel.
