Stewardship Moment: “Therefore, every tree that does not bear good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.” Matthew 3:10 Do you bear good fruit for Jesus? Do you spend time in prayer, or do you waste it with mindless activity? Do you use your talent to help others or are you too busy? Do you use your treasure to support the Church, or do you buy more things that go unused. Our time, talent, and treasure are gifts from God. What we do with these gifts is our gift back to Him. What gifts are you planning to give to the Lord during this upcoming Christmas season?

Sacred Heart Reconciliation Service will be celebrated today, Sun., Dec. 7th at 4:00 pm. We will have 3 priests available. Let us pray for each other that God will help us make a good examination of conscience so that we may all be relieved of the burden of our sins!

Practice for the Christmas Program will be held Wed., Dec. 10th during class time from 6:30-7:30 pm for all FFF students in Pre-school through 6th grade. We only get one night to practice the Christmas Pageant. We will need the cooperation of all students and parents to make sure this year’s pageant is a success. Thank you for your cooperation.

Christmas Program: The Mass next Sunday, Dec. 14th at Sacred Heart will be a children’s Mass followed by the Christmas Program. All students Grades P-6 should be in the hall by 8:00 am to get dressed. PreK-1st graders should wear a black, brown, white, or grey top. All students, Grades P-6, will walk in the procession and sit with their teachers. The Knights of Columbus and Altar Society will serve a brunch for all parishioners and guests after the program. Please invite your family and friends to join us for Mass and the program as well as the brunch and bake sale held in the parish hall following the program.

Next weekend there will be a 2nd collection for the Retirement Fund for the Religious.

Monday December 8th – The Immaculate Conception -This is a Holy Day of Obligation, which means that we are all required to attend Mass that day. Our Mass Schedule is as follows: 9:00 am in Sykeston; 12:00 noon in Kensal, and 5:30 pm in Carrington.

Holy Father’s Prayer Intention for December: Let us pray that Christians living in areas of war or conflict, especially in the Middle East, might be seeds of peace, reconciliation, and hope.
